The California headquarters for CSA-California is located in the Sierra Nevada foothill town of Placerville, about 1 hr. from Sacramento or Lake Tahoe. We are a 2.5 hr. drive from San Francisco.
We occupy a 10 acre farm in the “Oak Hill Agricultural District” with a 3 acre lake, orchards, organic gardens, a residence house, Guest house, swimming pool, and Meditation Center.
Our Kriya Yoga Retreat and training center is called “Infinite Life Retreat”. We are affiliated with CSA International headquarters in Lakemont GA. We provide west coast retreats where the philosophical principles and practices of Kriya Yoga are taught and demonstrated throughout the year. We have a monastic style dorm house that can comfortably sleep 12 students and a fully equipped kitchen to prepare your vegetarian meals on a private retreat.
Our estate house has a kitchen, dining rooms, hatha yoga floor, classroom, theatre room and meditation room. We have a bookstore where all the books, DVDs and videos of Roy Eugene Davis and the other Gurus are available. We offer classes in meditation techniques and practices, hatha yoga, Ayurveda, qigong, vegetarian cooking, organic gardening, and study groups that focus on the Bhagavad Gita, Pantanjali’s Yoga Sutras and the Shandilya Upanishads.
We offer weeknight classes, weekend, week-long and long term retreats. Check our calendar for scheduled classes and programs.
Upon successful completion of our basic Kriya Yoga classes, students may apply for initiation into the specific meditation techniques of our tradition, represented by our GURU line for hundreds of years.
We have retreats designed for the serious Kriya Yoga disciple who wants to be in an environment and learning center that supports their yearning to return their awareness to their real Self. Most classes are taught by CSA Ministers, however we do make our facilities available to other yoga teachers and compatible groups for their classes as well. We have special programs and video nights to honor our Gurus birthdays and Mahasamahdi dates.
If you are new to Spiritual Retreats or have gone for years, sincere aspirants from all traditions are welcome. We ask that you don’t bring cigarettes, alcohol, drugs, or meat on the grounds.
It is very helpful for "busy people" to take a digital detox and leave their phone, computer, and internet connections at home. Just experience your real soul nature of peace and joy. Some of our retreats are “silent retreats” where we ask you not to talk to other guests. If you haven’t done this before, it can be quite profound. We normally have morning (7am) and evening (7pm) group meditation with classes and free time during the day. We have organic vegetable gardens and an orchard. We are planning a large olive garden and an area for a pomegranate grove. You can volunteer to work in the gardens or on the grounds. We also have internships during the spring and summer. Inquire.
Your days can include, meditation, hatha yoga, reading, swimming, boating, walking, resting, journaling, sitting and listening to nature and enjoying the peace and quiet of the mountains.
Kriya Initiates (CSA, SRF, CSE, Ananda) get priority in booking retreats and are on a donation basis. If you are a Kriya student advise us when you book and we will make every effort to accommodate you. We are here to serve you.
Our goal is to provide an environment and learning center for the practical spiritual education and experience of all sincerely interested persons. We affirm that it is possible, by right personal endeavor and God’s grace, for all truth seekers to have a conscious relationship with the Infinite, fulfill their life’s purposes in harmony with nature and creatively express their innate soul potential.
